Where's The Grief?

Death is an inevitable part of life, and yet it can be difficult and uncomfortable to talk about the process of grief amongst one's peers. This podcast helps shine some light into the darkest parts of our own existence and encourage a more open discussion about the effects of grief, and offers coping mechanisms to those suffering.

Where's the Grief?

A podcast focused on grief and loss hosted by Jordon Ferber

On the whole, many cultures do not teach us how to effectively deal with the feelings that come up when a loved one dies.

The goal of this podcast is to acknowledge the reality of intense grief , which can be a very isolating experience, and normalize the conversation about it that is very often difficult to have with friends and even family.

Jordon Ferber, a bereaved sibling himself, gives people who have experienced intense loss permission to talk about it and exemplify the possibility of  making it through the darkest periods of grief to a life full of hope and happiness.

In this episode, Jordon sat down with comedian and actor, Frank Liotti. It has been 7 years since Frank's mother died, and subesquently, he also lost his father 3 months later, his best friend to suicide a year after that, and his sister not long after That. His is a story not just of the struggle to survive, but the Fight to survive that lives within all of us. As we discuss in the opening, this was actually our second attempt to get our interview in the can.

In this episode, Jordon sits down with comedian Kevin Bartini. Kevin's brother Andrew was killed in a car accident 16 years ago, only a few years into his battle with multiple sclerosis. Having been dealing with his grief for this long, Kevin has found a very positive perspective about life, and about death.

In addition to being the warmup comic for The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, Kevin is an accomplished actor. Find out more about what he's doing at http://KevinBartini.com
