Where's The Grief?

Death is an inevitable part of life, and yet it can be difficult and uncomfortable to talk about the process of grief amongst one's peers. This podcast helps shine some light into the darkest parts of our own existence and encourage a more open discussion about the effects of grief, and offers coping mechanisms to those suffering.

Where's the Grief?

A podcast focused on grief and loss hosted by Jordon Ferber

On the whole, many cultures do not teach us how to effectively deal with the feelings that come up when a loved one dies.

The goal of this podcast is to acknowledge the reality of intense grief , which can be a very isolating experience, and normalize the conversation about it that is very often difficult to have with friends and even family.

Jordon Ferber, a bereaved sibling himself, gives people who have experienced intense loss permission to talk about it and exemplify the possibility of  making it through the darkest periods of grief to a life full of hope and happiness.

In this episode, I sat down with comedian Harris Stanton. Despite dealing with a number of losses, the greatest one was that of his friend and mentor Patrice. We talk about how to move on after losing one's guide, as well as how to carry the lessons we've learned forward with us.

Additionally, we touch briefly on the car accident that Harris was involved in that left Tracy Morgan and Ardie Fuqua in coma's and Jimmy Mack dead. Harris may have walked away with but a few scratches, but he also has vivid memories of the accident and it's aftermath that have stayed with him.
